Islamic & Contemporary Studies

Admission to DHIA for all its courses starts from the preparatory course, ie. from the first standard itself.  Exactly it will be the secondary standard of a student who completed his primary course of Madrasas. To obtain an admission to the first standard of DHIA the applicant must have passed the fifth standard of primary Madrasa under the Islamic educational board of Samastha. Nobody is allowed to join in any other classes.

 

Boys below 11.5 years of age who have passed the primary Islamic education conducted by Samastha are eligible to apply for the course of Islamic and contemporary studies.  Application forms are issued from DHIA head office in person or by post from the last week of Sha'ban every year.  Filled up forms should be submitted on or before 20th of Ramadhan.

 

The application forms for the same course in the other branches of the DHIA are available from the head office and also from the branch offices.  And the candidates can apply to more than one branch at a time and can join where he gets the selection.

 

Every year in DHIA only 80 students are selected from about 700-800 applicants after the screening tests (oral and written). 

 

 

Hifzul Qur'an Course

Admission to this course is conducted once in three years.  Boys below 9 years, who have passed 3rd standard of primary madrasas are eligible to apply to this course.  Application forms are issued from the DHIA office from the last week of Sha’ban.  The new selection for this course is conducted only after the completion of the existing group.  Selection includes a memory test and other related matters.  After the completion of the Hifz they are selected to the Ist std. of the main course.

 

 

 

Urdu Medium Course

Boys from the out of Kerala state, below 12 years of age  who are capable of reading and writing Urdu and reciting Holy Qur’an are eligible to apply for this course.  They have to face a test both written and oral.  This test is conducted in the various centers of the different parts of India. 

 

Application forms can be obtained from DHIA head office at Kerala free of cost or downloaded form the site.   The application forms to other branches of Urdu medium can be collected from the regional offices of the branches.
