The Dr. U. Bapputty Haji Library, named after one of the three DHIU founding fathers, is a spacious building, with marvel rich collections of books and references in almost all disciplines of education. With the inclusion of ample digital and cyber facilities, the DHIU library is gradually replacing the old library systems with some of the state-of-the-art library facilities at the international standards. DHIU is determined to transform this into one of the major Islamic Library and reference centre in South India.
Initially named Al-Manhal, the DH library started functioning in 1988. In May 2009, the library was formally shifted to the new three-story building and was inaugurated by Sayyid Muhammad Ali Shihab Panakkad, the late spiritual leader of Kerala Muslims. The foundation stone of the building was laid by Honorable Palestine Grand Mufti Dr. Ekrima Swabri on 2nd March 2005.
