Al-Huda Students' Association (ASAs)

Students of Darul Huda run an association of their own, well-organized and well-equipped; AL HUDA STUDENTS ASSOCATION (ASAs).  It started functioning on 27th October 1994.  The Association helps them gather all the possible information, data and other allied materials necessary for them to reach their goal.    
As an approval for its devoted activities and future planning it had been recognized as an associate member of WAMY (World Assembly of Muslim Youth – Riyadh, KSA, Member ship No. 00700).  To make the movement smoother, the whole activities of ASAs is divided among its subcommittees with provisions for each in its bylaw.

Islamic Information Cell
Works as the backbone of the association and deals with the very objective of the institution.  Postal course about Islam for nonmuslims, yearly camps in remote regions, propagation and expeditions are its major works.


Library & Reading room
ASAs conducts a great library, viz. Al Manhal Library.  There are thousands of books, reference books, encyclopedia etc. in various languages and subjects.  It is a hoard of great knowledge.  Students of Darul Huda quench their thirst from this stream.

Coping with the modern technical developments in mass media ASAs also conducts cassette (Audio & Video) and CDs library.  This library consists of a number of CDs of Qur'an, Hadith, Dictionaries, Encyclopedia etc. and audio and video cassettes of great and famous eloquent orators in the world. Educational video cassettes on different topics are also available in the libarary..

 

Publishing Bureau
This bureau makes remarkable steps in publishing books, leaflets, audio and video cassettes.   Many books and cassettes of this bureau are available from ASAs office and other shops.

 

Organizing Committee
The functions of this committee are to organize and conduct the classes, camps, educational tours etc.  During the vacation time in the month of Ramadan this committee specially conducts study classes  and camps in the different parts of India.

 

Medical Board
Medical board is a punctual body treats and nurses the patients among the students of Darul Huda and looks after them till they get recovered.  The care under medical board is fully free for the inmates of Darul Huda.  The board also organize the 'Medical Weeks' and medical classes to make the students aware of their health.

 

Thelitcham Monthly
ASAs enriched the literal need of Kerala by publishing its valuable journal "Thelitcham monthly" from Darul Huda Islamic Academy.  Thelitcham stands ahead of other Islamic journals  by its contents.  This became very popular within a short period of time.  Most of the famous writers and columnists of Kerala prefer Thelitcham for their contributions.

The young scholars of Darul Huda also express their views on interpretation of  Islam in modern life and  current affairs through this publication

 

Board of Oratory meetings
As the Darul Huda aims at propagation of Islam allover the world it is highly essential that the students shoiuld get practiced in oration.  In order to meet this need ASAs conducts a weekly meeting of oration.  All the students actively take part in this function. 

Pupils offer their speeches in English, Arabic, Urdu and Malayalam in the programs like elocutions, debates, seminars etc.



Editorial Board
To develop the literal ability of students in writing ASAs has formed an editorial board to carry out this task.  The students use this board and express their ideas through the hand written magazines which helps them to develop their literary activities.

Now there are nine hand written magazines published by the editorial board of ASAs every month:
Al Huda (Arabic), The Dawn (English), Aftab (Urdu), Bihan (Hindi), Wibhadam (Malayalam), Bala Wibhadam (Children's' special), Shstra Deepam (Science magazine), Sarga Deepam (Arts) and Chitra Kala (Drawings)

 

Social Affairs
Social Affairs of ASAs help keep the campus clean and neat.  Also it enables  the students to serve the society through various developmental programs and social schemes.



Students Welfare Cell
To uphold the living conditions of the poor students in DHIA, ASAs has formed a welfare cell, viz. Students Welfare Cell.  This cell gives aids and helps confidentially the poor and weak students.
